If you haven’t heard… Minnesota is home to a PEACH FARM, and we mean big, sweet, golden fruit! When we read about Stone Creek Farm in Edible Magazine last year we knew right away we wanted to met Dan Sheild and ask if he would host a Crowded Table! Dan’s curiosity and love of plants started as a home experiment and led to a full farm operation that turned the impossible possible. In addition to peaches Dan cultivates other fruit as well, such as apricots, plums, pears, apples, and also hosts campers and glampers through hip camp for those that want to stay and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Which is exactly where we plan to stay that weekend.
Join us Saturday September 19th to full-fill your peachy desires. We will be show casing Dan’s bountiful fruit in every dish and pulling in more ingredients from local farms such as Hierloomista and The Summer Kitchen Cooperative who strive to return farming to the people who want a brighter future for our land, through grass-based, chemical-free, regenerative practices.
Social hour starts at 5:30 with apps and refreshments followed by a four course dinner.
Stone Creek Farm is the speak-easy of farms. There is no website, only an instagram @Dan_Sheild. Consider yourself in the know! You don’t have to wait in line for peaches coming off a truck that traveled 1,000 miles, they are right here at home.
Don’t worry, be peachy!
